Surface-treated LD film rolls engineered specifically for the printing industry โ ensuring superior ink adhesion in flexographic and gravure applications.
Our LD rolls with surface treater are specially manufactured for printing industry applications where ink adhesion and print quality are paramount. The corona discharge treatment process raises the surface energy of the LD film, creating microscopic surface activation that allows inks, coatings, and adhesives to bond reliably to the film surface.
Standard untreated polyethylene film has a low surface energy (around 31 mN/m), which makes ink adhesion poor. Our corona treatment raises this to 38โ42 mN/m or higher โ meeting the requirements of modern flexographic and rotogravure printing processes. Rolls are slit and wound to customer-specified widths and lengths.
